About the Role
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to lead a team of Associates and Senior Associates while managing bookkeeping operations for international clients. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in bookkeeping, month-end close, payroll, financial reporting, and cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Xero.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of Associates/Senior Associates.
Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for international clients.
Review month-end financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
Review payroll and sales tax entries.
Ensure timely completion of month-end reporting and payroll deliverables.
Allocate work and monitor team productivity.
Coordinate with onshore teams to understand client requirements.
Train team members on accounting processes and cloud accounting applications.
Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
Maintain high-quality client deliverables while meeting SLAs.
Required Skills
57 years of experience in Bookkeeping/Accounting.
1–2 years of team handling experience.
Strong knowledge of Record to Report (R2R).
Experience in Month-End Close and Financial Statement Review.
Hands-on experience with Payroll and Sales Tax.
Expertise in QuickBooks Online and Xero.
Exposure to cloud accounting tools like Dext and Expensify is preferred.
Strong understanding of AP, AR, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong MS Excel and Google Workspace skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with Canadian or international clients.
Experience in accounting outsourcing/shared services environment.
Exposure to cloud-based accounting platforms and international accounting standards.
