Job Description: International Labor & Social Security Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced International Labor & Social Security Attorney with deep
expertise in comparative labor law and statutory social security systems across Latin America,
Asia-Pacific (APAC), and Europe. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of
employment legislation, statutory social security frameworks, and cross-border compliance
requirements, providing legal guidance on workforce management, employee benefits, and
employment-related statutory obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide legal advice on international labor and employment laws across Latin America,
APAC, and European jurisdictions.
• Interpret and apply country-specific labor codes, employment regulations, and statutory
social security requirements.
• Advise on statutory severance calculations, termination obligations, and lawful dismissal
procedures.
• Analyze retirement benefit entitlements, pension eligibility, and statutory retirement
calculations.
• Interpret public pension transition rules and regulatory changes affecting employers
and employees.
• Support cross-border employment matters, including workforce restructuring,
reductions in force, and employee transfers.
• Assess legal risks related to employment practices and recommend compliant solutions.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting labor and social security
compliance.
• Collaborate with HR, payroll, benefits, compliance, and external legal counsel to ensure
adherence to local employment laws.
• Develop legal guidance, policies, and documentation supporting international
employment operations.
Required Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• Significant experience practicing labor and employment law with a strong focus on
international or cross-border matters.
• Demonstrated expertise in comparative labor law across Latin America, APAC, and
Europe.
• Deep understanding of:
- Statutory severance requirements
- Retirement benefit calculations
- Public pension systems and transition rules
- Statutory social security frameworks
- National labor codes
- Employee termination and dismissal procedures
• Experience advising multinational organizations on employment law compliance.
• Robust legal research, analytical, and statutory interpretation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language
proficiency is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting global HR, payroll, or employment compliance functions.
• Familiarity with multinational workforce management and cross-border employment
practices.
• Experience working with international law firms, multinational corporations, or global
advisory organizations.
• Knowledge of employment regulations across multiple jurisdictions within Latin
America, Europe, and APAC.
