About The Role The Associate Architect - Java at Quantiphi is a senior technical role responsible for designing, developing, and modernizing enterprise Java applications. This position involves engaging with clients to understand their technical needs, providing consultation, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java application modernization, API integration, cloud architecture, and enterprise-level application development.

They will play a pivotal role in supervising technical activities, mentoring team members, and staying abreast of the latest industry trends and best practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to innovative digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background with a minimum of 7-12 years of experience in Java-based enterprise application development. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields is preferred. Proven expertise in Java application modernization,



including upgrading legacy systems to newer Java LTS versions such as Java 17, 21, or 25, is highly desirable.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with J2EE, Spring Boot, REST and SOAP APIs, and microservices architecture. Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and tools like Git, Maven, and JFrog is essential. A solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, database management (SQL and NoSQL), and agile development methodologies is required.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities The Associate Architect will be responsible for engaging with clients for project briefing, consultation, installation, and project close-out reviews. They will support the design, development, enhancement, and modernization of enterprise Java applications, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable. The role involves managing customer demands to maximize satisfaction while maintaining high-quality standards.

The candidate will negotiate project requirements, resources, and infrastructure needs, and assist in creating comprehensive technical documentation. Supervising activities between internal teams and external vendors, facilitating smooth workflow, and ensuring timely delivery of projects are key responsibilities. Additionally, the Associate Architect will evaluate project data for accuracy, set project targets, and prioritize tasks effectively.





Mentoring and training team members to improve their technical skills and knowledge is a critical aspect of this role. Staying updated with current industry practices, exploring new trends, and integrating innovative solutions into projects will be part of ongoing responsibilities. The candidate will review customer technical demands, assist in identifying optimal methods for maintaining and utilizing delivered materials, and ensure APIs and application components adhere to best practices.

Conducting research, performing testing, and troubleshooting development and production issues across various environments will also be part of the role.
