Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Manager, FP&A;, Functions and is responsible to deliver finance process activities including Budget, Forecast, closing, actuals reporting, various ad-hoc analysis by partnering with FP&A; leader and functional team. This position is part of the global India Finance COE located in Bangalore and will be in office (working hours from 1.30 PM to 10.30 PM).

What you will do

- Own and operationalize the monthly closing and forecast processes for select business functions, providing in-depth analytics and commentary of actual vs forecasted performance, and ensuring adherence to targets, highlighting potential overruns and trends.
- Apply zero based budgeting techniques & other best practices to drive continuous improvement in spending across functions. Facilitating headcount forecast and overall people cost analysis and proper cost allocation by cost centers.
- Support Marketing function stakeholders with financial modeling and suggesting ways to be a more cost-effective function and help them with cost-control measures, if any. Also, supporting Purchase Requisitions tracking (iProcurement) and approvals.
- Drive standardization and process improvements in forecasting and reporting, including best practice sharing. Identify and resolve gaps in reporting which will value-add to the business.
- Serve as a trusted partner to business stakeholders and leaders, clearly communicating complex financial processes and results to non-financial audiences. Assist senior leadership with analytical requests or ad hoc reporting as required.

MBA qualifications with 4-8 years of progressive finance experience; previously worked in a global business environment with experience of global processes.
- Excellent analytical skills: able to analyze large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers, link financial results to operational performance and distil them into insightful analysis.
- Strong PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications such as Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, One stream, Qlik sense or any reporting tools; strong Excel skills in data compilations and aggregation (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
- Self-motivated, strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in ambiguous situations and adapt to change in response to new information.
- Strong in taking process improvement initiatives.
- Experience working in a global environment with sound understanding of global processes and transaction flows.
- Proven financial leadership in supporting multiple and complex organizations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; experience working with remote stakeholders and teams.
- Clear thinking and problem solving; demonstrated ability to lead projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions.
