Job Title: IT Executive

Job Summary:

The IT Executive is responsible for managing and maintaining the hospital’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking, and Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS). The role ensures smooth day-to-day IT operations, data security, and uninterrupted system availability to support clinical and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Infrastructure Management:

- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and internet services
- Ensure uptime and performance of all IT systems across departments

2. HIMS & Application Support:

- Manage and support Hospital Information Management System (HIMS)
- Create and manage user IDs, access controls, and permissions
- Troubleshoot application-related issues and coordinate with vendors for resolution

3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

- Provide immediate technical support to hospital staff
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Maintain IT helpdesk logs and ensure timely closure of complaints

4. Data Security & Backup:

- Ensure regular data backups and recovery procedures
- Implement and monitor antivirus, firewall, and security protocols
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of patient and hospital data

5. Server & System Administration:

- Assist in basic server management and monitoring
- Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades
- Monitor system performance and prevent downtime

6. Vendor & AMC Coordination:





- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware/software maintenance
- Manage AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and service schedules
- Track and verify vendor service quality

7. Compliance & Documentation:

- Ensure compliance with hospital IT policies and standards
- Maintain IT asset records, licenses, and documentation
- Support audits (NABH or internal IT audits)

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Information Systems or related field
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, Hardware & Networking, etc.) are an added advantage

Experience:

- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or system administration
- Experience in hospital or healthcare environment preferred

Key Skills:

- Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with HIMS / healthcare software
- Basic knowledge of servers, backups, and cybersecurity
- Positive communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies

Additional Requirements:

- Willingness to work in shifts and on-call support if required
- Quick response time for critical system issues
- Team-oriented with a service-focused approach

Reporting To: IT Manager / Admin Head

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- System uptime and availability
- Issue resolution time (TAT)
- User satisfaction and support efficiency
- Data security and backup compliance
- Audit readiness and documentation accuracy

Note: The IT Executive plays a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted hospital operations by maintaining reliable and secure IT systems. Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
