Job Summary We are looking for a techno-functional IT Business Partner with strong expertise in Supply Chain Planning processes and experience in SAP IBP or other equivalent planning tools. The ideal candidate will act as a key interface between business stakeholders and technical teams , helping translate planning requirements into scalable system solutions and ensuring successful execution of projects, enhancements, and support initiatives.
The role requires strong understanding of supply chain planning processes such as demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, S&OP; / IBP processes, forecasting, replenishment, and scenario planning , especially in the context of Pharmaceutical and FMCG industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams to understand and support Supply Chain Planning processes and business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Production Planning, Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Logistics functions.
- Analyze business challenges, identify root causes, and provide techno-functional solutions aligned with planning objectives.
- Support implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP IBP or other equivalent planning platforms.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and work closely with technical teams for development and delivery.
- Drive solution design and support for key planning areas such as:
- Demand planning
- Supply planning
- Inventory optimization
- Forecasting
- Replenishment planning
- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;)
- Scenario planning and simulation
- Capacity and constraint-based planning
- Coordinate with technical, integration, data,
and reporting teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects and enhancements.
- Support system configuration, testing, UAT, deployment, and hypercare activities.
- Ensure planning processes are standardized, optimized, and aligned with business goals.
- Provide production support and resolve critical business and system-related issues within agreed timelines.
- Work with master data and transactional data teams to ensure planning data accuracy and consistency.
- Facilitate workshops with business users to gather requirements, validate solutions, and drive adoption.
- Prepare and maintain functional documents including business requirement documents, functional specifications, process maps, test scripts, and training materials.
- Coordinate with external vendors, implementation partners, and internal support teams as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain planning capabilities and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in IT Business Partnering / Business Analysis / Planning Systems / Supply Chain Planning roles.
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain Planning processes end to end.
- Hands-on experience in SAP IBP or equivalent planning tools such as OMP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9, APO, or other advanced planning platforms.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical and/or FMCG industry is mandatory/preferred.
- Good understanding of business planning cycles including forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, and S&OP.;
- Ability to understand business pain points and propose practical, scalable, and productive system solutions.
- Strong techno-functional capability with the ability to bridge business users and technical teams.
- Experience in requirement gathering, solution design, testing, and delivery management.
- Understanding of integration touchpoints with ERP systems, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales systems.
- Familiarity with planning master data, key figures, planning books, alerts, workflows, and reporting concepts.
- Experience in handling support issues, change requests, system enhancements, and project implementations.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and dynamic business environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SAP IBP modules such as:
- Demand Planning
- Supply Planning
- Inventory Optimization
- Response & Supply
- S&OP;
- SAP IBP certification or equivalent planning tool certification is an added advantage.
- Exposure to SAP APO, S/4HANA, ECC, or other ERP platforms is preferred.
- Experience with data integration tools, reporting solutions, and analytics platforms is a plus.
- Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and project delivery methodologies is desirable.
- Understanding of regulatory and business planning considerations relevant to Pharma/FMCG industry is an advantage.
