Role Overview The Internship at Florida Consulting is a structured, immersive programme designed for students and recent graduates who want hands-on exposure to development consulting. Interns are embedded within one or more of Florida’s six verticals – Green Futures, Business Capital Advisory, Infrastructure Horizons, MSME Catalyst, AI & DigiTech, and Public Policy & Reforms and contribute directly to live client engagements from Day 1. This is not a shadow or observe role.
Interns at Florida are expected to think, research, and deliver supported by a structured mentorship framework and guided by experienced consultants.
Key Responsibilities Support project teams with primary and secondary research across assigned verticals
Assist in data collection, data cleaning, and structuring datasets for analysis
Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, policy briefs, and client-facing documents
Participate in team discussions, internal reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
Assist in developing summaries, case studies, and background notes for ongoing engagements
Contribute to Florida’s knowledge management and internal documentation under the ARC pod
Adhere to delivery timelines and uphold Florida’s quality standards in all outputs What We're Looking For Strong intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in development, policy, sustainability, or business
Good analytical thinking and attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
Basic proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a team-oriented workplace
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and ask the right questions
