Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer for our Research & Development (R&D;) team. The ideal candidate will specialize exclusively in sheet metal and fabrication design, transforming conceptual ideas into production-ready manufacturing models and drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- Product Design: Create innovative designs and 3D models for sheet metal products and welded fabrications.
- Drafting & Documentation: Generate detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- GD&T; Application: Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T;) principles to ensure accurate manufacturing and assembly fit.
- Project & Costing: Assist in new product development (NPD) projects, including material selection, cost estimation, and optimization.
- Collaboration:



Coordinate with the manufacturing and prototyping teams to resolve design issues and improve production efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 6 years of core experience in Sheet Metal and Fabrication design (Mandatory).
- Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (experience with Autodesk Inventor is an added advantage).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of sheet metal bending, fabrication processes, welding symbols, and structural design.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability in project costing, estimation, and component design.
- Tools: Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and PowerPoint for technical presentations.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
