Role Description The Interior Design Intern role is an in office internship based in Gurugram, supporting the design and enhancement of Saltstayz properties. The intern will assist in space planning, developing interior layouts, and selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E;) aligned with brand standards.

Daily tasks include preparing mood boards, coordinating with vendors, supporting site visits, and helping document design concepts and specifications.



The intern will collaborate closely with the design and operations teams to ensure functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet guest needs. This internship provides hands-on experience in hospitality design and a chance to contribute to new and existing property projects.

Qualifications

- Ability to support space planning and layout development, with basic understanding of functional and aesthetic requirements.
- Foundational knowledge of interior design principles, including style, materials, and finishes relevant to hospitality spaces.
- Skills in furniture selection and coordination of FF&E; to align with brand identity and project budgets.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva) is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work on-site in Gurugram as per project needs.
- Interest in hospitality, boutique stays, and experiential design is highly beneficial.
