Job Summary The Stonebranch Engineer designs, implements, and supports enterprise workload automation and orchestration solutions using Stonebranch Universal Automation Center (UAC). This role automates business processes, orchestrates workloads across distributed, cloud, and mainframe environments, and ensures reliable execution of critical enterprise jobs and workflows for The Standard.
Stonebranch Engineers partner with infrastructure, application, operations, security, and business teams to build reusable automation patterns, improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen the reliability, observability, and governance of enterprise workload automation.
* Ability to work onsite in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role. *
* Hybrid role: onsite presence is required for key business engagements; remote flexibility applies based on team and business needs. *
Skills and Background You’ll Need Education
- Required: High School diploma
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
Experience Required:
- 3+ years supporting enterprise workload automation, job scheduling, or service orchestration platforms
- 3+ years designing, administering, or supporting Stonebranch Universal Automation Center (UAC), Universal Controller, Universal Agents, task definitions, calendars, triggers, variables, and credentials. (mandate)OR comparable enterprise scheduling platforms such as Control-M, AutoSys, ESP, UC4, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, Redwood, or Dollar Universe. (plus to have)
- Experience in supporting Linux and windows servers’ environments in enterprise production settings.
- 3+ years scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Python, Bash/Shell scripting, REST APIs, or similar technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting production automation incidents, failed jobs, workflow dependencies, agent connectivity, and integration issues
- Experience working in Agile or Secure Agile delivery models using Jira or similar tools
Preferred
- Experience migrating from scheduling platforms such as Control-M, AutoSys, ESP,
TWS, UC4, or similar tools to Stonebranch
- Experience developing and supporting automated file transfer solution, event-driven automation, API integrations, and managed file transfer patterns
- Experience supporting mainframe workload automation or cross-platform orchestration involving z/OS, Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms
- Experience implementing automation standards, operational runbooks, monitoring, alerting, and audit-ready controls.
- Experience in integrating automation solutions with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
Certifications
- Stonebranch advanced administration, automation, or platform certification
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent cloud foundation certification
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent Linux certification
- Stonebranch Universal Automation Center administration or equivalent enterprise workload automation experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Stonebranch workload automation solutions using Universal Automation Center, Universal Controller, and Universal Agents.
- Build reusable automation workflows, task definitions, calendars, triggers, variables, credentials, and scheduling standards.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Stonebranch and enterprise platforms using APIs, scripts, and automation frameworks.
- Develop event-driven orchestration solutions across cloud, distributed, and mainframe environments.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, operations, and security teams to automate business and operational processes.
- Develop automation using scripts, APIs, managed file transfer patterns, and enterprise integration technologies.
- Lead or support migration and modernization efforts from legacy scheduling platforms to Stonebranch.
- Document automation solutions, operational procedures, support runbooks, standards, and audit-ready controls.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code, pipeline orchestration, and source control to reliably manage infrastructure and software releases.
- Partner with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to automate manual processes and improve reliability.
