Job Title : Infrastructure Specialist

Notice period : immediate - 15 days

- D eep experience in configuring, operating and supporting virtual hosting services and environments, including VMware but with special emphasis on Proxmox
- Practical knowledge of compute hardware and automated configuration management at scale
- Practical experience creating and implementing general IT infrastructure products and deployment architectures to deliver business services - core network concepts and services, DNS, load balancers, storage services, etc
- Practical experience of the configuration and management of operating systems, especially Ubuntu, RHEL & Windows including but not limited to topics such as package management and repositories, network and storage configuration, permissions and user management, processes and system monitoring
- Practical knowledge of HCI technologies, including vSAN and ceph storage replication
- Experience managing software and hardware deterministically at scale across multiple regions




- Experience working in distributed edge environments; able to understand technical architectures and foresee the impact on dependencies; delivery timelines and implementation plans.
- Experience of the use of CI/CD processes especially in an infrastructure context (AWX; Github Actions, Workflows & runners; Jenkins/groovy & slaves, etc)
- Extensive experience in code development skills and processes with particular reference to git
- Proven robust experience in the use of scripted and configuration management tooling to manage infrastructure deterministically as code at scale e.g. Powershell/PowerCLI, Ansible, Bash, Python

- Artefact management particularly Nexus
- Configuration and practical use of infrastructure observability notification and alerting, including Grafana, Prometheus, Victoria Metrics & Splunk
- Appreciation of infrastructure security concepts, risks and mitigations
- Secret management including Hashicorp Vault
- Design and implementation of API services such as Python HTTP jinja2
- Implementing, operating & deploying containerised services to Kubernetes clusters
