Role Description The Information Technology Support Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. This role is responsible for providing first-level and ongoing technical support to internal users, including resolving hardware and software issues on desktop computers and related devices. The specialist will respond to help desk tickets, diagnose and troubleshoot system and network problems, and escalate complex issues when required.

Daily tasks include installing and configuring IT equipment, maintaining system updates, documenting incidents and resolutions, and supporting users with applications,



connectivity, and access. The role also involves collaborating with other IT team members to improve support processes and ensure reliable, secure technology operations across the organization.

Qualifications

Solid Technical Support and Help Desk Support skills, including responding to user queries and managing support tickets.

Proficiency in Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to Desktop Computers and peripheral devices.

Foundational knowledge of Information Technology concepts, operating systems, and common business applications.

Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users and provide patient, solution-focused assistance.

Experience with basic network connectivity, user account management, and system updates is beneficial.

Prior experience in an IT support or service desk environment is preferred.

Relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or similar) or a diploma/degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field is advantageous.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple support requests efficiently.
