: Industrial Design Engineer Intern Company: Beyond Appliances Location: Bengaluru Department: Product Design & Innovation Duration: 6 Months (Full-time offer based on performance) Stipend: Yes (Competitive) About the Role Beyond Appliances is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Industrial Design Engineer Intern to join our Product Design & Development team. You will work on real-world home appliance product concepts—combining creativity, functionality, and aesthetics. This internship offers hands-on learning in design research, concept generation, 3D modeling, CMF, prototyping, and user-centric product development.

Key Responsibilities Support the design team in concept ideation, sketching, and visualization for recent product concepts. Develop aesthetic concepts for home appliances (chimneys, cooktops, water purifiers, etc.). Create 3D CAD models and high-quality rendering for presentations.

Assist in CMF (Color, Material & Finish) selection and design language creation. Support usability studies and incorporate user-centric design principles. Collaborate with mechanical design and engineering teams to ensure design feasibility.





Participate in prototype development, mockups, and design reviews. Prepare design documentation, mood boards, and presentation sheets.

Required Skills Strong sketching, visualization, and concept development ability.

Proficiency in any of the following tools: SolidWorks / Creo / Fusion 360 / Rhino KeyShot / Blender for rendering Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop for visual design Understanding of ergonomics, usability, and design for manufacturing (DFM). Great sense of form, surface aesthetics, and proportions. Strong creativity + problem-solving mindset.

Eligibility Students pursuing or recently completed: B.Des / M.Des – Industrial Design / Product Design, or BE / B.Tech – Mechanical Portfolio showcasing design projects (mandatory).
