Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for an HVAC Project Engineer. The HVAC Project Engineer will design, review, and optimize HVAC and process heating/cooling systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications, safety standards, and energy-efficiency objectives.

Responsibilities include preparing technical drawings and calculations, selecting equipment, and coordinating with manufacturing, procurement, and installation teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. The role involves conducting site assessments, supervising installation and commissioning activities, troubleshooting system performance issues, and preparing detailed technical reports and documentation. The HVAC Project Engineer will also collaborate with clients to understand requirements, support technical presentations,



and contribute to continuous improvement of Rockshell’s HVAC and heat pump solutions.

Qualifications

Strong HVAC engineering skills, including system design, load calculations, equipment selection, and knowledge of heat pump and chiller technologies.

Proficiency with engineering tools and software such as CAD for drawings, basic simulation or modeling tools, and MS Office for reports and documentation.

Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, coordination with cross-functional teams, and monitoring project progress and costs.

Working knowledge of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs;, and equipment datasheets, and to prepare clear technical documentation and reports.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and customers, and for conducting technical discussions.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; a postgraduate specialization in HVAC or energy systems is an advantage.

Prior experience in industrial HVAC, process cooling, or energy-efficient systems is preferred; exposure to effluent or chemical recovery systems is a plus.

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality in engineering practice.

Willingness to work on-site at customer locations as needed and to visit the manufacturing facility for coordination
