A Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, offices, or assigned facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, lobby areas, and common spaces.
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish toiletries and supplies.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize assigned areas.
- Dispose of trash and maintain waste segregation practices.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and chemicals are used safely and stored properly.
- Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
- Assist guests/customers politely when required.
- Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies.
- Complete daily cleaning checklists and assigned tasks on time.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to work long hours standing or walking.
- Attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Basic understanding of safety and hygiene practices.
Education & Experience
- Graduater from Hotel / Hospitality Management
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
