Webghat is hiring a Senior Software Engineer Python to join a rapid-growing, AI-focused technology team building next-generation intelligence and automation platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced backend engineer who enjoys designing scalable systems, building high-performance APIs, and working on AI-enabled applications in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

The selected candidate will take ownership of backend architecture, cloud-native services, data pipelines, and AI integrations while working with globally distributed engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
- Build robust RESTful APIs and backend services for enterprise-grade applications.
- Design and optimize relational database schemas using PostgreSQL.
- Develop and maintain search solutions using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
- Build scalable data processing pipelines and backend workflows.
- Develop secure, reliable, and high-performance distributed applications.
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical planning, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Continuously improve application scalability, security, and reliability.

Required Technical Skills

- 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
- Strong expertise in the Django framework.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture.
- Experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimization.




- Hands-on experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and containerized application deployment.
- Experience with Kubernetes orchestration.
- Working knowledge of AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
- Proficiency with Git version control.
- Experience using Jira or similar Agile project management tools.
- Valuable understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.

Preferred Skills

- Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) or AI-powered applications.
- Knowledge of AI frameworks and model integration.
- Experience with Apache NiFi or workflow automation tools.
- Exposure to TypeScript and React for full-stack collaboration.
- Experience working in distributed, remote engineering teams.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

Experience

- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Python backend development.
- Proven experience designing and building scalable backend systems for production environments.
