Responsibilities

- Managing the inception and initiation of projects in accordance with The Client Technology, GBS UK.
- Establishing and managing project structure, roles and teams to ensure efficient and effective project delivery within current PMO structure.
- Planning, managing, monitoring and reporting on the work of (sometimes disparate) project teams to deliver the outputs to the agreed timescale & scope.
- Producing RAID logs and managing mitigation activities, including ongoing risk assessment.
- Working with key Business stakeholders across multiple geographies in order to clarify project outputs; build sustainable relationships to enable the achievement of project objectives.
- Providing leadership, direction and support to the project team.
- Working with Information Technology, providing challenge and support to ensure technology related outcomes are achieved.
- Use MS project templated project plans and Excel spreadsheet RAID log as provided by PMO.
- Work in a uniform manner within existing PMO structure adhering to PMO standards throughout project life cycle to effectively communicate with the project team, peers and stakeholders (including Executives and senior managers).
- Lead internal project status calls to ensure project is tracking to plan, maintain project tracking documentation (MS project, RAID log).
- Join external client calls supporting Lead Project Manager,



taking notes of key discussion points and ensure updates are reflected in the project documentation and issued to stakeholders with RAG narrative post call.
- Complying with the Gallagher Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for the role with specific attention, but not limited to, managing client and other sensitive data, Whistle Blowing, Treating Customers Fairly.

Qualifications

- Educated to degree level or equivalent desired
- Any Project Management Certification such as, Prince 2 Practioner, APM, PMP and Agile Certifications

Technical Knowledge

- Knowledge of financial services industry helpful
- Desire to learn and understand tools and applications

Essential

- Over 8 years of experience in Project Management, Business Operations, or Consulting teams
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a complex environment and adapt to shifting priorities
- Adept at setting own work schedule and monitoring and reporting progress against goals
- Should have excellent communication in spoken and written English
- Good presentation skills
- Competent in Microsoft Tools Office Suite - Microsoft Project, Word, Excel & PowerPoint skills
