Job Title: General Manager - Operations (EV Fleet & Mobility) Location: Bangalore Experience: 10+ years Reporting To: CEO About BLive BLive is a leading electric mobility solutions platform enabling sustainable last-mile delivery at scale. We manage end-to-end EV operations including electric vehicle fleets, trained driver partners, charging solutions, and technology-led fleet management. With operations across Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, and Goa, BLive is at the forefront of India's EV-first logistics transition.
Role Overview We are looking for a seasoned General Manager – Operations to lead and scale BLive's multi-city electric vehicle fleet operations. This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, asset productivity, cost control, and service reliability across all locations. The GM Operations will own end-to-end fleet performance, build scalable processes, and manage regional Operations Managers and city teams, while working closely with the CEO on strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: 1.
Fleet
Operations & Performance - Own end-to-end EV fleet operations across Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata (and upcoming cities).
- Drive fleet uptime, utilisation, battery health, maintenance efficiency, and lifecycle cost management.
- Ensure operational readiness of vehicles, charging infrastructure, and driver allocation.
- Set up preventive and predictive maintenance programs for EV fleets. 2.
Process
Excellence & Scale - Design and institutionalise SOPs, playbooks, and process frameworks for operations at scale.
- Implement standardised operating models across cities while allowing for local optimisation.
- Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost outcomes.
- Team Leadership - Lead and mentor a multi-city team comprising Operations Managers, city heads, supervisors, and executives.
- Build strong second-line leadership and ensure clear performance ownership at city and regional levels.
- Drive a culture of accountability, data-driven decision making, and execution excellence.
- Metrics, Reporting & Governance - Define and track Key Success Metrics including:
- Fleet uptime & utilisation
- Rider hiring and retention
- Maintenance and fleet uptime
- Safety, compliance & asset loss
- SLA adherence & customer satisfaction
- Review dashboards and reports; present insights and action plans to the CEO and leadership team.
- Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Sales, Vendor Management, Product, Technology, Finance, and HR teams.
- Coordinate with EV OEMs, charging partners, service vendors, and city authorities.
- Support enterprise and franchise operations with operational inputs and scalability models.
- Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure statutory, safety, and regulatory compliance across all fleet operations.
- Manage operational risks, asset security, loss prevention, and incident management.
Requirements - 10+ years of experience in operations leadership roles.
- Proven experience in Electric Vehicle fleet management, mobility operations, or logistics fleet operations.
- Experience handling multi-city teams and operations.
- Strong understanding of EVs, batteries, charging infrastructure, fleet maintenance, and asset management.
- Track record of building processes and scaling operations in fast-growing environments.
Preferred
Background - EV mobility platforms, last-mile delivery companies, logistics fleets, shared mobility, or transportation tech companies.
