Hub Head — West India

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Most "Regional Head" roles in services are a sales number with a better job title. This one is a profit and loss account — with an operations, sales, finance and HR leadership team underneath it, and a direct line to the Country Managing Director.

G4S employs approximately 100,000 people in India. India is our second-largest market anywhere in the world, behind only the United States. The country business runs on four hubs. We are looking for the person to run the West.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Own the West India P&L; — profitability, revenue growth, price increase realisation and collections across the hub's branch network, with the authority to set the commercial agenda for the region.
- Lead the hub leadership team — Sales, Operations, HR, Finance, Admin and Information Security — and the Zonal Heads beneath them, running a matrix rather than waiting for a reporting line to solve things for you.
- Hold the margin in a wage-driven business where revenue is a function of statutory wage and deployed headcount, and where price discipline, deployment efficiency and collections are the levers that actually work.
- Own the client relationships that matter — retention and growth of key and core accounts, MBRs and QBRs that close rather than circulate, and the audits and surveys that keep prestige clients with us.
- Run a clean shop — PSARA licensing, the Maharashtra Security Guards Board scheme, the four Labour Codes, and the contract renegotiation programme that follows from them.
- Keep industrial relations harmonious — working with the ER team on grievance redressal, discipline and retention across a large frontline workforce.
- Negotiate the contracts and partnerships that carry real value, including engagement with senior government stakeholders.




- Set the standard on health, safety and ethics — personally, visibly, and without exception.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- You have independently owned a P&L; — not a revenue target, not an operations budget. You can state your revenue, your headcount and your EBITDA percentage from memory, because they were yours.
- You have run a wage-driven business — security, facilities, staffing, logistics, retail operations or branch banking — where labour is the dominant cost and operating leverage is thin.
- You have carried collections accountability and can describe exactly what you did when a large client stopped
- You understand Indian labour law and industrial relations in practice, not in theory — and ideally you know what the Maharashtra Security Guards Board scheme does to a cost base.
- You have led functional leaders who did not all report to you, and got them moving anyway.
- 15 years of experience, at least five in a service business running large distributed operations. Graduate minimum; MBA or master's preferred.
- You lead with integrity under commercial pressure. In this industry that is a load-bearing requirement, not a value statement.
