About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Forex Accountant / Operations Executive to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for recording foreign exchange transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing client statements, reconciling accounts, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our foreign exchange business.

You will work primarily on our proprietary in-house software, ensuring all currency transactions are accurately entered and monitored while providing exceptional operational support to both internal teams and clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesTransaction Processing

- Record all foreign exchange transactions into the company's in-house software.
- Enter currency purchase (Buy) and sale (Sell) transactions accurately and promptly.
- Verify exchange rates, transaction values, commissions, and settlement details.
- Ensure every transaction is supported by the required documentation.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all daily trades.

Client Account Management
- Prepare and send daily client statements showing all transactions completed.
- Generate account summaries and transaction reports for clients.
- Reconcile client balances with internal records.
- Respond to client enquiries regarding statements and transaction history.
- Ensure all statements are sent within agreed service timelines.

Daily Reconciliation
- Reconcile all daily buy and sell transactions.
- Match incoming and outgoing payments with recorded transactions.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.




- Ensure balances across currencies are accurate at the close of each business day.
- Assist in end-of-day operational closing procedures.

Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate accounting records for all currency transactions.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
- Monitor outstanding settlements and pending transactions.
- Maintain organized digital records for auditing purposes.
- Support external and internal audits when required.

Operational Support
- Coordinate with traders, business development staff, and finance teams.
- Monitor transaction workflow from booking to settlement.
- Track pending payments and ensure timely follow-up.
- Update internal reports and operational dashboards.
- Assist with system testing and improvements for the company's proprietary software.

Compliance & Accuracy
- Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and operational procedures.
- Verify supporting documents before processing transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality of client financial information.
- Report operational risks, errors, or unusual activities immediately.
- Follow AML/KYC documentation procedures where applicable.

Reporting Prepare daily operational reports including:
- Total currencies bought and sold
- Daily transaction volume
- Outstanding settlements
- Pending client payments




- Profit and loss summary (where applicable)
- Currency position reports
- Reconciliation status reports

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting, finance, banking, or foreign exchange operations experience.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Comfortable learning and working with proprietary software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy at all times.

Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a foreign exchange company, remittance business, payment institution, or financial services environment.
- Familiarity with multi-currency accounting.
- Understanding of foreign exchange settlement processes.
- Knowledge of reconciliation procedures.
- Basic understanding of AML/KYC compliance requirements.
