Job Summary
To perform assembly operations efficiently and accurately by following standard operating procedures, ensuring product quality, safety compliance, and achievement of daily production targets.
You will report to Production Supervisor / Assembly Manager and follow a onsite working schedule in India Kancheepuram.
Responsibilities
- Assembly Operations: Perform assembly of components, sub assemblies, and finished goods following approved work instructions, drawings, and SOPs
- Assembly Tools: Operate assembly tools, jigs, fixtures, and production equipment safely
- Process Flow: Follow defined process flow, cycle time, and takt time requirements
- Quality Assurance: Ensure assembled products meet specified quality standards and customer requirements
- Self Inspection & In Process Quality Checks: Perform self inspection and in process quality checks
- Defects, Deviations & Reporting: Identify, record, and report defects, deviations, or abnormalities in the process
- Corrective & Preventive Actions: Support corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and rework
- Production Targets: Achieve assigned daily production targets with optimum efficiency
- Production Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, traceability documents, and check sheets
- Line Balancing & Productivity: Support line balancing and productivity improvement activities
- Safety & 5S: Follow all EHS rules,
safety procedures, and PPE requirements
- Workplace Organization: Maintain workplace cleanliness and organisation according to 5S standards
- Safety Reporting: Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and cost reduction initiatives
- Root Cause & Improvement: Support root cause analysis and improvement implementation
- Productivity & Quality Improvements: Provide improvement suggestions to enhance productivity, quality, and safety
Qualifications
- 2-5 years: Assembly Technician / Assembly Operator
- ITI / Diploma
- Knowledge of assembly processes, tools, and equipment
- Read and understand engineering drawings and work instructions
- Basic knowledge of quality concepts and inspection techniques
- Capability to handle tools and manual assembly tasks
- Willingness to work in shifts following production requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to following industries: Automotive, Electronics, Electrical, Heavy Engineering, Manufacturing Industry
