Our surgical teams operate under senior consultants and hospital leadership to ensure protocol-driven care, surgical precision, and post-op recovery excellence. Role & Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operative evaluations, assist in complex general surgeries, and manage post-operative patient recovery under consultant supervision.
- Lead emergency surgical interventions including trauma, acute appendicitis, hernias, and intestinal obstructions with rapid decision-making under pressure.
- Document surgical procedures, patient outcomes, and complications accurately in hospital EMR systems with zero delays.
- Collaborate with anaesthesiology, ICU, nursing, and surgical tech teams to ensure seamless perioperative coordination and safety.
- Participate in daily ward rounds, case discussions, and morbidity & mortality reviews to improve clinical outcomes and surgical protocols.
- Train and mentor junior residents and interns in surgical technique, sterile protocols, and intraoperative communication.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with valid NMC registration
- Completed DNB/MS Surgery or in final year of training
- Proven hands-on experience in general surgery procedures (laparoscopic/open)
- Emergency surgical case handling (trauma, GI emergencies, infections)
- Proficiency in surgical documentation using EMR systems
- ACLS certification
Preferred
- Experience in multi-specialty hospital environment
- Basic laparoscopic skills or fellowship training exposure
- Publication or presentation at surgical conferences
