About the Role

We’re hiring a Fraud Analyst to help protect a high-traffic consumer platform from fraudulent activity, content manipulation, and review abuse.

You will investigate complex cases, identify emerging abuse patterns, analyze data from multiple sources, and develop evidence-backed conclusions. This role requires investigative rigor, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to product, engineering, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Investigate complex fraud and abuse cases from initial detection through resolution
- Analyze transactions, behavioral signals, content, and account activity for anomalies
- Identify root causes and emerging patterns of deceptive or manipulative activity
- Combine information from multiple data sources to form defensible conclusions
- Help design detection methods and investigative experiments
- Produce detailed case reports supported by transparent evidence
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Translate complex policies and risk concepts into clear, actionable guidance

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical discipline,



or equivalent practical experience
- At least four years of experience in fraud investigation, risk assessment, forensic analysis, financial crime, or a related field
- At least four years of experience analyzing data and delivering open-ended analytical projects
- Prior experience investigating fraud, trust-and-safety incidents, or platform abuse
- Proficiency with SQL and Python for analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce detailed case documentation and investigation notes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work from a private and secure workspace

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with content moderation, policy enforcement, customer support, or policy design
- Familiarity with evolving fraud and abuse patterns on online platforms
- Experience in program management, policy management, customer experience, or business strategy
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine-learning concepts
- Professional fraud investigation or examination certification is a plus
