Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full time

Build the future of enterprise software with AI.

At Flywl, we're building an AI-native revenue platform for the cloud ecosystem. Every day, enterprises, cloud providers, and channel partners lose time and revenue to fragmented systems, repetitive workflows, and disconnected data. We believe the next generation of enterprise software won't just automate workflows; it will reason, recommend, and execute.

We're a small team building software where AI isn't a feature layered on top. It's fundamental to how the product works and how we build it. We're looking for engineers who want to build products, not just write code.

The Role

We're looking for a Founding Product Engineer . Not a backend engineer. Not a front-end engineer. Not someone waiting for perfectly written tickets.

We're looking for someone who enjoys finding problems, talking to customers, building solutions quickly, and improving them through rapid iteration.

You'll work directly with the founders, product, and design to shape what gets built—not just how it's implemented. Some weeks you'll build APIs. Other weeks you'll improve onboarding, prototype an AI workflow, optimise infrastructure, or redesign an internal developer tool. Your title doesn't define your scope. The product does.

What You'll Own

You'll own outcomes. Not tickets. That means you'll:

- Build customer-facing product experiences from idea to production.
- Prototype quickly, validate with users, and iterate based on feedback.
- Work across backend, frontend, AI, infrastructure, and developer tooling whenever the product requires it.
- Design systems that are simple, reliable, and easy to evolve.
- Partner directly with founders on product direction and technical decisions.
- Use AI throughout your engineering workflow to dramatically increase speed and quality.
- Continuously improve our engineering practices, tooling, and deployment processes.

- Help establish the engineering culture of Flywl as we scale.

What Makes Someone Successful Here The engineers who thrive here tend to have a few things in common.

They

- Love building products from scratch.
- Learn about unfamiliar technologies quickly.
- Care deeply about solving customer problems—not just implementing requirements.
- Take ownership without waiting to be told what to do.
- Move comfortably between ambiguity and execution.
- Have strong product intuition and good engineering judgment.
- Balance speed with long-term quality.
- Are naturally curious and constantly experimenting with better ways to build software.

AI Is Part of the Job We expect AI fluency the same way we expect Git fluency. You don't need to build foundation models. But you should already be using AI as a fundamental part of how you engineer.

That might include

- Building AI-powered product experiences.
- Using coding agents and AI-assisted development daily.
- Knowing where LLMs work well—and where deterministic systems are the better choice.
- Rapidly prototyping with modern AI tooling.
- Thinking critically about evaluation, reliability, guardrails, and user experience.

AI isn't a nice-to-have at Flywl. It's how we work.

What We're Looking For

We're intentionally not optimising for years of experience or specific programming languages. Instead, we're looking for engineers who have demonstrated the ability to build and ship.

You may be a great fit if you've:

- Built products from 0→1 or helped scale them significantly.

- Shipped production software that real customers depend on.
- Worked in high-ownership startup environments.
- Built across multiple parts of the stack instead of specializing in one narrow area.
- Made product decisions—not just technical ones.
- Worked closely with customers or internal users.
- Developed a reputation for getting things done.

Whether your background is in Go, Python, TypeScript, Rust, Java, C#, or something else matters far less than your ability to learn quickly and solve problems well. You'll Probably Enjoy This Role If..

- You have side projects you're genuinely proud of.
- You enjoy shipping more than debating architecture.
- You like talking to users to understand why something should exist before building it.
- You naturally reach for AI tools to increase your throughput.
- You enjoy wearing different hats depending on what the company needs.
- You care about product quality as much as code quality.
- You prefer ownership over hierarchy.

Why Flywl Joining Flywl means helping define how the company builds products, not simply contributing to an existing roadmap.

Here, you'll:

- Work directly with the founders on product and technical decisions.
- Own meaningful product areas from your first week.
- Build AI-native enterprise software solving complex commercial problems.
- Help shape engineering culture, architecture, and development practices as the company grows.
- See your work reach customers quickly and influence what we build next.

Don't Self-Reject We're not looking for someone who checks every box. If this role excites you, but your experience doesn't perfectly match everything above, we'd still encourage you to apply.

Great engineers rarely fit neatly into a checklist. We're far more interested in your curiosity, judgment, product thinking, and ability to learn than whether your resume matches every bullet.
