About Perkant
We are building India's first full-stack OPD automation platform. A patented medical device sits at its core and closes an entire OPD consultation in under five minutes, in a country that sees billions of OPD visits every year. Our next six months are about getting this device into the hands of the clinicians who need it most. Every one of those hires runs through you.
The role
Healthcare's first point of contact is a doctor and a patient in a small room. We are rebuilding that room. The people who make that happen, the engineers, the field teams, the clinicians we bring in, all get hired, onboarded and set up by you. You are not here to administer a people function that already exists. You are here to create one. From the offer letter template to the culture that makes someone leave a comfortable job for a startup in Indore, you own it.
You will report directly to the CEO. You will sit on the core team. There is no HR layer above you and no HR playbook waiting for you. You are the playbook.
What you'll actually do
- Hire the team that redefines primary care. Run recruitment end to end for engineering, sales, field and clinical roles. Source, screen, close. You are the difference between a role sitting open for three months and filling in three weeks.
- Build the machine, not just fill the seats. Design the hiring process, the interview scorecards, the onboarding that gets a current joiner productive in days not weeks.
- Train and set people up to win. Own induction, ramp and the early-days experience that decides whether a hire stays. In a startup, a bad first month is a resignation you did not see coming.
- Own the culture deliberately.
Culture is not a poster. It is who you hire, who you let go, and what you celebrate. You will shape all three.
- Be the founders' read on the team. Engagement, performance conversations, the honest signal on who is thriving and who is struggling. We will trust your judgement on people.
Who we're looking for We do not have an age bracket or an experience filter. We think someone early in their career with real hunger, or a mid-career generalist tired of being a cog, is most likely to thrive here. What actually matters:
- You build, you do not maintain. You are energised by a blank page, not unsettled by it. There is no existing process here for you to lean on.
- You have a nose for people. You can tell in a conversation who will run through walls and who will coast. This is the whole job.
- You move fast and close. An urgent hire is urgent to you. You chase, you follow up, you do not let a strong candidate go cold.
- You are trusted with the confidential. Salaries, exits, hard conversations. Discretion is not negotiable.
- You communicate cleanly in English and Hindi. You will write our offers and represent us to every candidate we want.
Bonus, not required:
- Prior HR experience in a startup, manufacturing or a regulated medical device environment
- Experience setting up HR from zero rather than joining an established function
