Role Description-The role holder will be responsible for providing L1 /L2 Backup administration support.

Qualification & Experience

- B. Tech / BE
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Proven ability to plan and execute workload in a pressurized & dynamic setting.
- ITIL Certified or a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management disciplines

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

User management and maintenance of all database users like granting a subset of privileges as per clients policy.

Expertise on Commvault Experienced in configuring, scheduling and troubleshooting backup.

Experience in setting up Media retentions & management process.

Documentation skills Hands on experience in planning and updating Firmware and Patch.

Hands-on experience in planning and upgrading client on Unix and Windows client





Experience in backup configurations for file system and database (Oracle DB).

Experience in data Restoration on request.

Perform media management activities.

Perform Disk and Tape based backup jobs.

Experience in resolving performance & capacity Issues.

License management for backup software.

Co-ordinate/suggest for renewal of backup hardware with vendor

Device configuration Configuring disk libraries (CDL) Backup.

Create suggested target backup schedule and operational plan.

Proficient in Commvault DB, Log etc.

Manage Commvault backup replication across sites.

Customer feedback (Appreciations, CSAT survey results)

KB preparation and review, Knowledge sharing & documentation

Root cause analysis / Problem Management + Capacity Management

SLA compliance for tickets.

Administration knowledge on NetApp Storage.

Training / Mentoring
