Role & responsibilities: :

We are seeking a commercially driven Plant Head to lead the overall operations and business performance of our Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP). The role combines end-to-end operational leadership with P&L; ownership, customer development, client acquisition, member relationship management, revenue growth, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of building industry relationships, expanding the customer base, improving collections, and driving sustainable business growth while ensuring operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will hold a B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with 15+ years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in overall Plant P&L; leadership role. You will drive end-to-end plant strategy, operational reliability, cost per KL optimization, regulatory compliance, and member industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Unit Strategy & Full P&L; Ownership

- Own total plant P&L; performance, driving margin improvement, cost discipline, and sustainable cash flow.
- Formulate and execute a 35 year strategic roadmap focused on operational readiness, capacity utilization, and financial sustainability.
- Oversee annual budgeting, CAPEX/OPEX planning, and continuous infrastructure and technology upgrades.

2. Operations & Master Planning

- Lead end-to-end plant operations to maximize treatment capacity, plant uptime, and service reliability.
- Rigorously monitor operational KPIs: Cost per KL treated, energy consumption, chemical optimization, and discharge quality parameters.
- Ensure full alignment with statutory guidelines (GPCB/CPCB) and environmental regulatory standards.

3. Commercial,



Billing & Stakeholder Management

- Direct accurate and timely billing, manage receivables cycles, and drive proactive cash-collection strategies with member units/customers.
- Foster robust relationships with member industries, resolving grievances rapidly and maintaining high service-level expectations.
- Implement cross-functional operational controls to minimize service disruptions and drive continuous process improvements.

4. Leadership & Culture

- Empower department heads with clear operational and financial accountability linked to cost, quality, and output targets.

Build a data-driven, performance-led culture with continuous capability development and team mentorship.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering is mandatory. MBA (Finance) / MBA (Operations) or MBA (Marketing) is strongly preferred.
- Total Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience within the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant industry.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role managing overall Plant P&L;.
- Technical Mastery: In-depth exposure to industrial effluent management, secondary/tertiary treatment processes, RO/ZLD systems, and statutory compliance frameworks.
- Commercial Skills: Proven track record in cost per KL reduction, OPEX management, financial budgeting, and customer/member unit engagement.
