Role & responsibilities

Responsibilities

1. Plan and coordinate dispatch schedules to meet customer delivery deadlines.

2. Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and timely delivery.

3. Coordinate with production, stores, and sales to align logistics with manufacturing schedules.

4. Ensure proper documentation invoices, packing lists, delivery challans, e-way bills, etc.

5. Track shipments and update customers or internal teams on delivery status.

6. Maintain records of freight costs and optimize transportation expenses.

7. Manage logistics partners and transporters for on-time performance.

8. Ensure proper loading/unloading of goods without damage.

9. Comply with statutory requirements for transportation (road permits, GST, etc.).





10. Maintain logistics MIS and submit regular reports to management.

Authorities

1. Approve dispatch schedules in line with customer orders and stock availability.

2. Select and assign transport vendors as per company-approved rates.

3. Authorize shipment documentation before dispatch.

4. Take decisions on shipment mode in urgent situations (air, road, courier, etc.).

5. Coordinate directly with customers for delivery confirmations and special requests.
