Merchandiser Activewear & Athleisure

*Location:* Mumbai (Preferred)

*Experience*

* Minimum 23 years of experience in gym wear, sportswear, athleisure, or performance apparel.

* Candidates with experience working for established activewear brands or export houses will be preferred.

*Responsibilities*

* Coordinate with fabric suppliers, manufacturers, and trim suppliers.

* Source performance fabrics such as polyester-spandex, nylon-spandex, seamless fabrics, mesh, and compression materials.

* Manage product development from sampling to bulk production.

* Follow up with factories on timelines and quality.

* Negotiate costing and ensure target margins are achieved.

* Understand printing techniques, branding applications, and garment finishing.

* Coordinate with designers and production teams.

* Maintain vendor relationships and identify current manufacturing partners.

*Requirements*

* Good understanding of activewear construction and garment manufacturing.

* Experience with tech packs, BOM (Bill of Materials), and costing.

* Knowledge of moisture-wicking, quick-dry, anti-odor, stretch, and compression fabrics.

* Strong communication and negotiation skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production documentation.

* Ability to travel to manufacturing units when required.

*Preferred:*

Experience with Indian and international gym wear brands.

Fashion Designer – Gym Wear & Athleisure





*Location:*

Mumbai (Preferred)

*Experience*

* Minimum 2–3 years of experience designing gym wear, sportswear, athleisure, or performance apparel.

* Candidates must have previously worked with an activewear or sportswear brand.

*Responsibilities*

* Design premium men's and women's gym wear collections.

* Develop seasonal collections based on market trends.

* Create detailed tech packs for production.

* Select fabrics, trims, colors, and prints suitable for performance apparel.

* Work closely with merchandisers and manufacturers during sampling.

* Review samples and suggest improvements for fit, comfort, and functionality.

* Research international activewear trends and adapt them for the Indian market.

*Skills Required*

* Strong knowledge of performance fabrics and garment construction.

* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW.

* Experience creating tech packs and measurement charts.

* Understanding of fit, ergonomics, and movement in sportswear.

* Good knowledge of sublimation, heat transfer, screen printing, silicone branding, reflective prints, and embroidery.

* Strong portfolio showcasing gym wear or athleisure collections.

*Preferred*

* Experience designing for premium activewear brands.

* Knowledge of sustainable and recycled performance fabrics.

* Understanding of current global athleisure trends.
