Role & responsibilities The Emmegi CNC Programmer creates and optimizes machining programs for CNC machines. They specialize in processing aluminum extrusions for windows, doors, curtain walls, and industrial components. This role bridges architectural drawings and high-precision physical manufacturing. [1, 2]Key Responsibilities
- Program Generation: Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Emmegi software (Camplus, Satellite, or CamProxy).
- Profile Setup: Interpret architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and CAD models to define tool paths and clamp positions.
- Machine Optimization: Configure 3, 4, or 5-axis Emmegi machining centers (e.g., Satellite, Comet, Phantomatic) for maximum efficiency.
- Tooling Selection: Choose correct drill bits, end mills, and saw blades based on aluminum alloy specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect first-off parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve programming errors, machine crashes, and tooling wear issues on the shop floor.
- Collaboration: Work with design engineers to review manufacturing feasibility and reduce cycle times. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Software Expertise: Proficiency in Emmegi Camplus, Elumatec eluCad, or equivalent 3D profile CAD/CAM software.
- Machine Familiarity: Hands-on experience operating or programming Emmegi multi-axis machining centers.
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to read geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;) symbols.
- Material Knowledge: Deep understanding of aluminum extrusion behaviors, feed rates, and cutting speeds.
- Math Proficiency: Solid foundation in geometry and trigonometry for manual G-code adjustments. [1]
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience specifically in the fenestration (window, door, curtain wall) industry.
The Aluminum and Glass Site Engineer oversees the on-site installation of architectural aluminum and glass systems. They manage sub-contractors, ensure adherence to engineering drawings, and maintain strict quality and safety standards. This role bridges the gap between the design office and hands-on site execution. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]Key Responsibilities
- Installation Oversight: Supervise the installation of curtain walls (unitized and stick systems), spider glazing, windows, doors, and skylights. [1, 2]
- Drawing Verification: Review and interpret architectural, structural, and approved shop drawings for site execution. [1]
- Site Surveying: Conduct accurate site surveys, checking structural openings, levels, and benchmarks before installation begins. [1]
- Quality Control: Inspect delivered materials and executed work against project specifications, approved mock-ups, and QA/QC checklists. [1, 2, 3]
- Progress Tracking: Monitor daily site progress against the master project schedule and submit detailed daily/weekly reports. [1]
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols for glass handling, scaffolding, and cradle operations. [1, 2, 3]
- Coordination: Liaise with the main contractor, project managers, consultants, and factory production teams to resolve site conflicts. [1, 2, 3]
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelors degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Proven site experience specifically in aluminum facade, fenestration, or structural glazing projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of waterproofing, flashing, anchors, brackets, and silicone sealant applications.
- Drawing Literacy: Proficiency in reading AutoCAD drawings and navigating 3D BIM models (Revit).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected structural deviations in office. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in site safety management (e.g., OSHA, IOSH, or local equivalent).
- Experience managing high-rise building facade installations. [1]
