Position: Database Developer SQL

Job Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India

Job Summary: We are seeking experienced SQL Developers with strong database development and optimization skills. The ideal candidate should be proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases, writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and ensuring high database performance and security. Candidates must possess excellent English communication skills and be confident in handling client calls, requirement discussions, and technical meetings with international clients.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases.

Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing.

Perform database backup, restoration, and recovery.

Design database schemas based on business requirements.

Ensure database integrity, consistency, and security.

Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.

Collaborate with application developers for database integration.

Participate in database migration, deployment, and performance monitoring.

Prepare technical documentation and database design documents.

Interact with domestic and international clients to gather requirements and provide technical support.

Required Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.





Excellent knowledge of SQL programming and database design.

Hands-on experience with:

Stored Procedures

Functions

Triggers

Views

Indexing

Query Optimization

Experience with database backup, restore, replication, and security.

Knowledge of ETL processes and data migration.

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Understanding of database normalization and performance tuning.

Mandatory Requirements

Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

Ability to independently handle client calls, technical discussions, and requirement gathering sessions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work in a collaborative and deadline-driven environment.

Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA / MSc (Computer Science/IT) or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) is an advantage.

Knowledge of API integration and reporting tools is desirable.

Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
