Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Technical Lead to design, build, and lead enterprise-scale cloud data warehousing and analytics solutions on the Snowflake platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, cloud technologies, data engineering, ETL/ELT frameworks, and team leadership. The role involves architecting scalable data solutions, driving best practices, mentoring team members, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions.
- Define architecture, coding standards, and best practices for data engineering projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and developers.
- Review solution designs, code, and data models to ensure quality and scalability.

Snowflake Development & Administration

- Design and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, and data pipelines.
- Implement Snowflake features such as:
- Virtual Warehouses
- Snowpipe
- Streams & Tasks
- Time Travel
- Data Sharing
- Cloning
- Materialized Views

- Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance and cost utilization.
- Implement data security, governance, and compliance controls.

Data Engineering

- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Informatica, Matillion, Talend, DBT, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
- Build scalable and effective data ingestion frameworks from multiple source systems.
- Design dimensional and normalized data models to support reporting and analytics.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across the data ecosystem.

Cloud & Integration

- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Integrate Snowflake with enterprise systems, APIs, BI tools, and data lakes.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.





Stakeholder Management

- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, product owners, and project managers.
- Provide technical estimates, project planning, and risk assessments.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

- 8+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and Data Engineering.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture and performance tuning.
- Advanced SQL proficiency.
- Experience with ETL/ELT development and optimization.
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Knowledge of Python, Shell Scripting, or Scala.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to AI/ML data platforms and advanced analytics solutions.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with DBT and modern data stack technologies.
- Knowledge of real-time and streaming data architectures.
- Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
