Company Description Online Saathi is a transformative initiative by Panah Foundation focused on bridging the digital divide for India’s migrant workers. The platform offers accessible digital services and information, including legal assistance, healthcare guidance, educational resources, and support in accessing government programs.

Designed around the specific needs of migrant communities, Online Saathi empowers individuals to navigate the digital world with confidence and independence. A network of “Saathis” (community leaders) provides local, on-the-ground support, ensuring services reach those who need them most. By combining technology with community engagement, Online Saathi is driving digital inclusion and long-term social impact.

Role Description The Engineer Intern will support the design, development, and maintenance of Online Saathi’s digital platform and related tools in a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with coding and debugging features, testing and documenting software, and collaborating with senior engineers to implement enhancements that improve user experience for migrant workers and community leaders.

The intern will help integrate current services and information modules, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to system performance and security. This role involves close collaboration with product, design,



and operations teams to translate real-world user needs into effective technical solutions.

The Engineer

Intern will also participate in team meetings, share progress updates, and continuously learn and apply best practices in software development.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess foundational programming and software development skills (for example, familiarity with at least one common language such as Python, JavaScript, or Java).
- Candidates should possess basic web or app development skills, including understanding of front-end or back-end concepts and experience working with APIs or databases.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to debug issues, test features, and document technical work clearly.
- Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Interest in social impact, digital inclusion, and working with underserved communities will be highly beneficial.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to evolving project needs, and take feedback constructively in a fast-paced environment.
