HumCommerce is looking for an experienced Head of Delivery to own and scale our software delivery organisation, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes for global eCommerce clients.

This is not a traditional PMO or governance role. We are looking for a leader who takes complete ownership of delivery outcomes, builds trusted customer relationships, mentors delivery leaders, and creates an setting where teams consistently deliver their best work.

You will lead a delivery organisation of approximately 40 engineers, designers, QA engineers, and Project Managers, with plans to grow to 60+ team members. Working closely with the founders, you will strengthen our delivery capabilities, improve customer success, and build a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Your success will be measured not by the number of reports you produce, but by the success of our customers, the confidence of our teams, and the quality and predictability of every project we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the successful delivery of all client projects across the organisation.
- Mentor, coach, and support Project Managers and delivery leaders to build stronger teams and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary escalation point for delivery challenges and work alongside teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.




- Build trusted relationships with customers and ensure consistently high levels of customer success.
- Partner with Engineering Leads to balance delivery commitments with technical excellence, quality, and long-term maintainability.
- Continuously improve delivery planning, resource allocation, execution excellence, and operational efficiency.
- Support presales, project estimation, delivery planning, and strategic customer discussions.
- Champion the practical adoption of AI to improve planning, documentation, communication, reporting, engineering productivity, and decision-making.

What We're Looking For

- 1525 years of experience leading software delivery teams in IT services or digital product companies.
- Proven experience delivering web, eCommerce, SaaS, or enterprise software projects.
- Strong leadership, customer management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Deep understanding of Agile delivery, software engineering, and modern development practices.
- A proven ability to build high-performing teams, mentor delivery leaders, and foster a culture of ownership and accountability.

Preferred Experience

- Adobe Commerce (Magento), Shopify, Headless Commerce, ERP/CRM integrations, payment gateways, and third-party integrations.
- Jira, Azure DevOps, ClickUp, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and AI-assisted software delivery.
- PMP, Scrum Master, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are an advantage.
