Job Responsibilities

Technical Execution & Delivery

- Development & Maintenance: Perform hands-on application development, feature enhancements, and complex bug fixing.
- Technical Problem Solving: Independently identify and overcome technical challenges and architectural hurdles.
- Code Quality & Governance: Conduct rigorous code reviews and documentation audits to ensure all implementations adhere to industry best practices and organizational standards.
- SDLC Management: Manage the full software development life cycle, ensuring project milestones are met and standards are maintained from design to deployment.
- Dependency Management: Proactively identify internal and external dependencies and develop effective remediation plans to prevent project delays.

Leadership & Collaboration

- Team Mentorship: Serve as a technical guide for junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high-quality engineering.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a bridge between various global teams and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on project goals.
- Project Administration: Maintain diligent project tracking using tools such as Jira (task progress), OneNote (documentation), and Clarity (time booking and support rotas).
- Estimation & Planning: Actively contribute to technical estimations and resource planning to ensure realistic delivery timelines.





Required Skills and Experience

Technical Competencies

- Programming: Strong proficiency in C or C++ development.
- Database Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Relational Databases (Sybase, Oracle, or SQL Server) with excellent SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Performance Engineering: Proven ability in database and application performance tuning.
- Operating Systems: Extensive experience working within Unix/Linux environments, including proficiency in Shell Scripting.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of Trade Processing and Settlement workflows.

Professional & Behavioral Competencies

- Experience Level: A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software engineering and database development.
- Education: A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences (including Business Analysts).
- Analytical Thinking: Robust ability to analyze functional documents (BRD, FSD), identify discrepancies, and map out diverse use-case scenarios.
- Soft Skills: A self-driven, motivated professional with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and a self-learning attitude.
