Role Description :

As a .NET specialist in our team you will be responsible for further development and maintenance of our .NET-integration platform, consisting of architecture components that integrate front-end applications (mainly based on .NET, seldomly Java and other technologies) with diverse backends (mainly the mainframe, but also SAP and other platforms).

Supporting development projects with the appropriate integration patterns and solutions is a core part of that position.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Market observation and evaluation of recent technologies and trends in the field of runtime architecture with a focus on client-server platforms

- Creation, maintenance and updating of the architecture blueprint for the integration architecture components, including a roadmap for the further development of the runtime architecture
- Product responsibility for the ERGO mainframe integration suite, consisting of several .NET-components (called ECSA for ERGO client-server architecture).
- Providing solutions for the integration of mainframe-services into distributed environments like .NET, but also Java and other technologies.
- Training/instruction of SW developers regarding these components
- Participation in major projects by integrating the standard components into applications
- Support, consulting and training of application developers (including programming guidelines for performance optimization) with a focus on client-server projects
- Supporting application development projects with technical application architecture
- Enforcement and monitoring of compliance with architecture standards with the focus on integration architecture (including project reviews)





Key Competencies & Skills required

Technical:

- Very good knowledge of C#,
- Very good knowledge of the architecture of .NET applications.
- Good knowledge of integration technologies, especially asynchronous message based technologies like MQ.
- Good knowledge of Java and micro-service-architectures according integration scenarios with .NET applications and other platforms.
- Openness to learn further technologies beyond .NET in the context of integration scenarios.

Nice to have:

- Knowledge of Mainframe, IMS.
- Knowledge of COBOL, DB2, SAS.
- Exposure to collaboration tools like SharePoint, Fileshare, Jira
- Knowledge of Insurance domain.

Behavioral Skills:

- Fluency in English is mandatory, language skills, both verbally and in writing (Polish and/or German desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working in a global environment combined with a service oriented mindset
- Willingness to learn and quickly adapt to changing requirements
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options

- Education/Qualification:

- Completed university or university of applied sciences studies with a focus on insurance, organization, mathematics, economics, business informatics, computer science or comparable completed training in one of the aforementioned areas

Knowledge & Experience:

- 10+ years of .Net Development & Specialization.
- Financial Services background (insurance) appreciated
- Experience of working within European clients and multi-location teams
- Experience working in large scale projects
