Django Full-Stack Developer / Technical Delivery Lead

About us

Magic Sands is a destination management company building and operating proprietary systems for hotel booking, partner quotations, vouchers, and enterprise operations across multiple live web platforms.

Location

Fully remote. Candidates must be based in Kerala or Tamil Nadu only.

The role

We are hiring a hands-on developer who can own delivery of our internal and B2B platforms—from requirements through production release. You will work closely with operations and leadership to improve live systems used daily for itineraries, hotel selection, costing, proposals, and bookings.

What you will do

- Build and maintain Django-based admin and booking applications in production
- Translate operational workflows into explicit features, fixes, and UX improvements
- Own end-to-end delivery: requirements, implementation, testing, deployment, and follow-up
- Improve admin UX (forms, search, popups, itinerary and costing tools)
- Manage GitHub workflows, code quality, and safe production releases
- Coordinate deployments across related services without disrupting live operations
- Work with integrations such as maps/places, email, and related third-party services
- Support and refine data models for hotels, rooms, proposals, vouchers, and bookings
- Communicate progress clearly to non-technical stakeholders





What we are looking for
- Based in Kerala or Tamil Nadu
- Strong experience with Python and Django in production environments
- Solid skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for admin and internal tools UX
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Django migrations, and relational data modeling
- Comfortable with Git/GitHub, code review, and release discipline
- Experience deploying and supporting apps on cloud platforms (Railway, AWS, or similar)
- Ability to gather requirements from operations teams and turn them into practical solutions
- Strong attention to detail on live systems where data accuracy matters
- Clear written and spoken English

Nice to have
- Experience in travel, hospitality, DMC, or booking/quotation systems
- Familiarity with Django Admin customization, PDF generation, or multi-service setups
- Product ownership or technical team lead experience
- Basic understanding of QA processes and production troubleshooting

- Operations staff can work faster with fewer workarounds
- Live systems remain stable during releases
- Requirements are clarified early and delivered cleanly
