Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Design Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in mechanical product design and development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SolidWorks (3D Design) and AutoCAD (2D Drafting). The role involves designing new products, improving existing products, preparing manufacturing drawings, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Design & Development

- Design and develop new products based on customer requirements and industry standards.
- Modify and improve existing products to enhance performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Prepare concept designs, detailed engineering drawings, and design documentation.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering change records.

CAD Design
- Develop accurate 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD.
- Generate fabrication, assembly, and production drawings with appropriate GD&T; and tolerances.
- Maintain design revisions and engineering documentation.





Engineering & Product Optimization
- Optimize product designs for performance, manufacturing feasibility, and cost reduction.
- Select suitable materials and manufacturing processes.
- Perform design calculations and basic engineering analysis wherever required.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable engineering standards.

Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Sales, and Application Engineering teams during product development.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing and resolve design-related issues.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, validation, and product improvements.

Documentation & Quality
- Maintain design records, revision history, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all drawings and documents comply with company standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in design and product development.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks (Mandatory) for 3D modeling and assemblies.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles, sheet metal, fabrication, welding, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerancing, and BOM preparation.




- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Robust communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Required Candidate Profile

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical product design and development.
- Hands-on experience in SolidWorks (3D Design) and AutoCAD.
- Experience in industrial equipment, HVAC, ventilation, fabrication, or machinery manufacturing will be preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
