Position: Civil Head – Substation & Transmission & Distribution (T&D;) Projects

Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

Experience Required: 20–22 years overall experience with minimum 15 years GCC experience

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Industry: EPC / Power Transmission & Distribution / Substation Projects

Job Purpose:

The Civil Head will be responsible for leading and managing the complete civil engineering function for Substation and T&D; EPC projects in KSA. The role requires strong technical expertise, project execution capability, leadership skills, and extensive GCC experience in delivering large-scale power infrastructure projects. The position will ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality execution of civil works while maintaining compliance with client requirements, safety standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the civil engineering function for multiple Substation and T&D; EPC projects from engineering, procurement support, construction, commissioning, and handover stages.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for all civil activities including foundations, buildings, structural works, underground utilities, roads, drainage, fencing, and associated infrastructure.
- Review and approve civil engineering designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents.
- Ensure civil works are executed as per project scope, approved drawings, quality standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, construction, procurement, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.




- Manage and guide civil engineering teams, site execution teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Support project planning, resource allocation, cost control, and risk management for civil works.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical issues, site challenges, and design conflicts.
- Monitor project progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco / SEC / client standards, international codes, and project specifications.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure implementation of QA/QC requirements.
- Support tendering and estimation activities by providing technical inputs, construction methodologies, and cost optimization solutions.
- Review subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and project requirements.
- Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, audits, and project reviews.
- Promote best engineering practices, innovation, and continuous improvement within the civil function.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 20–22 years of experience in Civil Engineering with extensive EPC project execution background.
- Minimum 15 years of GCC experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong experience in Substation, Transmission & Distribution, Power Infrastructure, and EPC projects.
- Proven experience handling large-scale civil works for HV/EHV substations and T&D; projects.
- Solid knowledge of Saudi market practices, construction standards, and client requirements.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and large project execution environments.
- Strong understanding of civil design, construction methodologies, contracts, and project management.
- Experience working with major utilities, oil & gas, or power sector clients will be preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
