Job Title: Regional Credit Manager – Loan Against Property (LAP)

Job Purpose To manage and lead the credit underwriting operations for the LAP (Loan Against Property) portfolio across the assigned zone, ensuring quality loan origination, effective risk management, policy compliance, and timely credit decisions to support business growth and maintain asset quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Credit Underwriting & Policy Adherence
- Evaluate and underwrite LAP proposals within the delegated authority.
- Ensure thorough assessment of customer profiles, including financials, property documents, legal/technical reports, and KYC.
- Approve or recommend credit decisions in line with internal credit policies and market practices.
- Risk Management & Portfolio Monitoring
- Analyze and monitor zone-wise delinquency trends and recommend preventive or corrective actions.
- Review early warning signals, conduct field visits, and coordinate with risk and collections to maintain portfolio health.
- Participate in periodic portfolio reviews and stress testing exercises.
- Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Manage, mentor,



and supervise a team of Regional/Area Credit Managers and Credit Officers.
- Ensure adequate staffing and training across the credit team in the zone.
- Conduct regular policy refreshers and fraud prevention sessions.
- Stakeholder Management & Business Support
- Collaborate with sales, operations, legal, and risk teams to ensure smooth and compliant loan processing.
- Maintain a balance between business growth and asset quality.
- Share market intelligence and customer feedback to aid in policy fine-tuning.
- Audit & Compliance
- Ensure 100% compliance with internal audit and RBI norms.
- Resolve audit issues proactively and implement preventive controls across locations.

Qualifications Candidate Profile:

- CA / MBA (Finance) / Postgraduate in Finance or related field.

Experience

- 15–18 years of relevant experience in secured lending (LAP/Mortgages), with 3–5 years in a zonal or regional credit role.
- Exposure to MSME/LAP lending in semi-urban/rural markets is preferred.
