Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Rishikesh, responsible for overseeing all financial operations at Real Happiness®. This role includes developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The CFO will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, monitor cash flow, and support sustainable growth across programs and retreats.

Day-to-day responsibilities include advising leadership on financial risks and opportunities,



maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting strategic decision-making. The CFO will collaborate closely with the executive team and departmental leads to align financial plans with the school’s long-term mission and objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in finance, financial planning, or strategic budgeting.

Strong foundation in Finance supported by experience in Financial Planning and strategic budgeting.

Ability to prepare, interpret, and oversee Financial Statements with robust Financial Reporting practices.

Well-developed Analytical Skills to assess performance, forecast outcomes, and inform data-driven decisions.

Experience in managing cash flow, cost control, and financial risk in an educational or wellness-focused organization is an advantage.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent are preferred.

Proficiency with financial management software and advanced Excel skills.

Strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Interest in or familiarity with wellness, meditation, or holistic education environments is beneficial.
