Job Purpose

Role will offer the opportunity to work with Private Equity teams of our clients across industries (technology, fintech, retail, financial services, transportation etc.) and assist them in devising their deal sourcing, deal assessment, due diligence, portfolio monitoring and valuation activities including company/industry analysis, financial modeling (DCF, LBO), relative valuation, etc.

Key Responsibilities

This position is in the Private Markets division at Acuity, one of the fastest growing segments within the firm. The position will report to Assistant Director, Private Markets

It will offer the opportunity to work with Private Equity teams of our clients across industries (technology, fintech, retail, financial services, transportation etc.) and assist them in devising their deal sourcing, deal assessment, due diligence, portfolio monitoring and valuation activities including company/industry analysis, financial modeling (DCF, LBO), relative valuation, etc.

Typical engagements would involve (but not be limited to) the following:

- Financial spreading and valuation analysis: Creation and updation of detailed financial models including DCF, MA, LBO Models, trading transaction comps, valuation analysis via different techniques, through idea of company financial metrices

- MA and strategic analysis: Identification and analysis of potential targets through analysis of markets, products, services and financial synergies





- Commercial due diligence support: Commercial due diligence of potential investment through analysis of the market opportunity, target company's business model, its competitive positioning, etc.

Key Competencies

- Experience of 4-8 years supporting strategy research and analysis, preferably across industries

- CFA, MBA from a top tier business school in Strategy, Finance, Operations or Economics

- Strong finance fundamentals and knowledge of financial analysis skills

- Experience working across databases such as Capital IQ, Pitchbook, Preqin etc.

- Robust problem solving abilities and analytical thinking skills. Adept at synthesizing information to generate insights

- Dedicated and motivated individuals having demonstrated academic excellence with strong leadership, analytical, communication and teamwork skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines

- Superior problem solving abilities and strong analytical thinking to seek the why, how and so-what of a problem statement and ability to think multiple/alternative solutions to a given problem

- Proven project management skills

- Excellent at using MS PowerPoint; command over MS Excel to process varied data sets in spreadsheets (Pivots, charting etc.) is highly desirable.
