Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, schemas, and database objects.

Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using PL/pgSQL.

Perform database design, normalization, and schema management.

Monitor and optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.

Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery processes.

Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues while ensuring high availability and performance.

Collaborate with application development teams to design scalable and efficient database solutions.

Implement database security, access control, and best practices.

Work in Linux/Unix environments to support database deployments and maintenance.

Use Git for version control and database script management.





Prepare technical documentation for database architecture, deployment, and operational procedures.

Required

Skills

Mandatory: PostgreSQL Developer (CPSDBD) certification.

5+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL development.

Strong expertise in SQL and PL/pgSQL (functions, procedures, triggers).

Solid understanding of relational database design and data modeling.

Experience in query optimization, indexing, and database performance tuning.

Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL backup/recovery, replication, and schema management.

Good knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.

Experience with Git version control.

Strong production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
