Position: Catering Sales Executive

Department: Sales & Business Development

Location: Kolkata

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and generate new business opportunities for corporate catering, industrial catering, institutional catering, weddings, social events, private parties, and outdoor catering.
- Conduct regular sales visits to corporate offices, factories, IT companies, hospitals, educational institutions, government offices, banquet halls, clubs, and event management companies.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and convert leads into confirmed business.
- Prepare catering proposals, quotations, and customized menu presentations based on client requirements.
- Coordinate with the Catering Manager and Head Chef to prepare event plans and customized catering solutions.
- Follow up with prospective clients until order confirmation and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines while ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the management.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, bookings, and customer interactions.
- Conduct venue visits and client meetings to understand event requirements and provide suitable catering solutions.
- Ensure smooth coordination between clients and the operations team before, during, and after event execution.
- Collect customer feedback after every event and work towards improving client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Develop business through referrals, networking, and relationship building.
- Represent the company professionally during meetings, exhibitions, networking events, and promotional activities.

Government Tender & Business Development Support

- Regularly monitor the GeM (Government e-Marketplace)



portal and other government, PSU, corporate, and institutional tender portals for catering opportunities.
- Inform management about suitable catering tenders and business opportunities.
- Assist the Catering Manager and management in preparing quotations, technical documents, and commercial proposals for tender submissions.
- Maintain a database of tender opportunities, submitted bids, and business prospects.
- Follow up with clients regarding submitted quotations and tender enquiries.

Pre-Opening Responsibilities

- Build a strong database of prospective corporate, institutional, and government clients before the official launch.
- Conduct market surveys and identify high-potential business areas in Kolkata and nearby regions.
- Promote the Spice Blend Catering brand through direct marketing, networking, and client visits.
- Distribute company profiles, brochures, and promotional materials to potential customers.
- Coordinate with the company's digital marketing agency to ensure prompt follow-up on website and social media enquiries.
- Assist management in organizing food tasting sessions, client presentations, and promotional events.

Desired Skills

- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good sales, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to prepare quotations and basic commercial proposals.
- Basic knowledge of the GeM portal and government tender process will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and willing to travel extensively for business development.
- Prior experience in catering, hotel sales, banquet sales, or hospitality sales will be preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates having an existing network with corporate clients, event management companies, wedding planners, industries, hospitals, educational institutions, and government organizations in Kolkata and West Bengal.
