Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Canteen Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the hospital canteen. The person will be responsible for ensuring hygienic food preparation, good food quality, smooth operations, proper staff management, and excellent service to patients, attendants, doctors, and hospital employees.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the daily operations of the hospital canteen.
- Ensure food is prepared and served with proper quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Supervise and manage canteen staff, including duty allocation and attendance.
- Plan daily menus and ensure timely availability of food items.
- Monitor food quality, taste, freshness, and portion control.
- Maintain proper cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, dining area, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with hospital food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Monitor stock of food items, groceries, vegetables, dairy products, and other supplies.
- Maintain proper records of stock, purchase, wastage, and consumption.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement of materials.
- Control food costs and minimize unnecessary wastage.
- Check expiry dates and ensure proper storage of food materials.
- Handle complaints and feedback from patients, attendants, staff, and management.
- Ensure special dietary requirements of patients are properly communicated and followed, wherever applicable.




- Coordinate with the Dietitian/Nutrition Department, Nursing, Housekeeping, and Administration as required.
- Ensure staff follow proper grooming, uniform, hand hygiene, and food-handling practices.
- Conduct regular checks of kitchen equipment and report maintenance requirements.
- Prepare daily/monthly operational reports as required by management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI, hospital, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Support hospital audits and inspections related to canteen and food services.

Required Skills

- Ability to manage inventory and control food costs.
- Positive problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and record keeping.
- Ability to work in a hospital environment and handle multiple responsibilities.

Qualification
- Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Food & Catering Services, or a related field preferred.
- Candidates with relevant experience in hospital canteen, institutional catering, hotel, or large-scale food service operations will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
