Marketing Executive / Business Development Officer (Hospital)
Position: Marketing Executive / Business Development Officer (BDO)
Department: Marketing & Business Development
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years in Hospital/Healthcare Marketing
Position Summary The Marketing Executive / Business Development Officer is responsible for promoting the hospital's healthcare services, increasing patient referrals, developing strategic relationships with doctors, corporates, insurance companies, TPAs, industries, institutions, and community organizations, and strengthening the hospital's brand presence. The role focuses on business growth while ensuring ethical marketing practices and high standards of patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for the hospital.
- Achieve monthly and annual patient referral and revenue targets.
- Expand the hospital's network through strategic partnerships.
- Develop business plans to increase OPD, IPD, diagnostic, surgical, and health package volumes.
- Conduct market surveys and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
1. Doctor & Referral Relationship Management
- Build and maintain professional relationships with referring doctors, clinics, nursing homes, and healthcare providers.
- Conduct regular visits to consultants and referral sources.
- Address concerns of referring doctors and ensure timely resolution.
- Strengthen referral networks through continuous engagement.
1. Corporate Marketing
- Identify and approach corporate organizations for empanelment.
- Develop relationships with industries, educational institutions, hotels, banks, and government organizations.
- Promote Annual Health Check-up (AHC) packages and employee wellness programs.
- Coordinate corporate health camps and awareness initiatives.
- Ensure timely renewal of corporate agreements.
1. Insurance & TPA Coordination
- Assist in empanelment with TPAs, insurance companies, CGHS, ECHS, PSU organizations, and government agencies.
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth implementation of empanelment requirements.
- Maintain relationships with TPA representatives and insurance coordinators.
1. Marketing Activities
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to increase hospital visibility.
- Organize health camps, CMEs, public awareness programs, and community outreach activities.
- Promote specialty services and newly introduced healthcare facilities.
- Coordinate promotional events and patient engagement activities.
1. Brand Promotion
- Enhance the hospital's brand image through ethical marketing practices.
- Ensure proper distribution of brochures, leaflets, standees, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate with digital marketing agencies for online campaigns.
- Support website and social media promotional activities in coordination with the marketing team.
1. Community Outreach
- Organize health awareness programs in schools, colleges, societies, industries, and community groups.
- Coordinate free medical camps, screening camps, and educational sessions.
- Represent the hospital at exhibitions, conferences, and public events.
1. Patient Experience Support
- Obtain feedback from patients, referring doctors, and corporate clients.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve service-related concerns.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction and retention.
1. Coordination with Internal Departments
- Work closely with consultants, nursing, operations, billing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and administration.
- Ensure smooth execution of marketing commitments and service delivery.
- Coordinate logistics for camps, promotional events, and corporate activities.
1. MIS & Reporting
- Maintain records of daily field visits and client interactions.
- Prepare Daily Call Reports (DCR), Weekly Reports, and Monthly Business Development Reports.
- Maintain databases of referral doctors, corporates, and business associates.
- Track conversion ratios, referral trends, and revenue generated from marketing activities.
- Submit performance reports to the reporting manager within prescribed timelines.
1. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain confidentiality of hospital and client information.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and ethical marketing guidelines.
- Follow NABH standards and statutory requirements applicable to marketing activities.
- Maintain proper documentation of agreements, empanelments, and promotional activities.
1. Professional Conduct
- Maintain a skilled appearance and behaviour during all official interactions.
- Wear the prescribed dress code and identity card while on duty.
- Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct in all business dealings.
- Maintain cordial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
1. Training & Development
- Participate in mandatory hospital training programs.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and marketing skill development programs.
- Keep updated with healthcare industry trends, competitors, and new healthcare services.
1. Additional Responsibilities
- Assist during hospital promotional events and special campaigns.
- Support launch of new specialties, consultants, and healthcare services.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Management, Hospital Administrator, or Head of Marketing in the interest of the organization.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of monthly and annual business targets.
- Number of new doctor referrals generated.
- Number of new corporate and institutional empanelments.
- Growth in OPD, IPD, diagnostics, and surgical referrals.
- Corporate health camps and community outreach programs conducted.
- Patient conversion rate from marketing leads.
- Client retention and satisfaction.
- Timely submission of reports and MIS.

Qualification
- Graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- MBA (Marketing/Healthcare Management) preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital or healthcare marketing/business development.
Accountability The Marketing Executive / Business Development Officer shall be accountable for:
- Achieving assigned business development targets.
- Maintaining ethical marketing practices.
- Strengthening referral and corporate relationships.
- Enhancing hospital brand visibility.
- Ensuring timely reporting and documentation.
- Supporting organizational growth through sustainable business development initiatives.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
