Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to manage MIS reporting, inventory operations, procurement coordination and business data analysis.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing actionable reports, monitoring stock accuracy, supporting procurement activities and automating management dashboards using Zoho Analytics . The role requires close coordination with retail stores, vendors, warehouse teams, accounts, operations and management.

Key ResponsibilitiesMIS Reporting and Business Analytics

- Prepare and publish daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports covering sales, inventory, discounts and key business KPIs.
- Analyse product-wise, store-wise, category-wise and channel-wise sales performance.
- Convert raw business data into clear, accurate and actionable insights.
- Identify trends, exceptions, performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare dashboards and reports to support management decision-making.
- Maintain historical data for comparative, growth and trend analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate circulation of reports to relevant stakeholders.

Inventory Management and Stock Audits
- Manage inventory operations across retail stores, warehouses and other business locations.
- Monitor opening stock, inward stock, sales, transfers, adjustments and closing stock.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system-recorded stock.
- Conduct periodic retail-store stock audits.
- Identify stock shortages, excess stock, negative inventory and transaction mismatches.
- Prepare product-wise and location-wise stock variance reports.
- Coordinate with store, warehouse and accounts teams to investigate and close inventory discrepancies.
- Analyse fast-moving, slow-moving, non-moving and near-expiry inventory.
- Support stock planning, replenishment and inventory-optimisation decisions.

Procurement Coordination
- Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely availability of products and materials.
- Support vendor identification, sourcing and evaluation.
- Communicate with vendors regarding quotations, product specifications, prices and delivery timelines.
- Assist in commercial negotiations and finalisation of procurement terms.




- Create and track purchase orders.
- Monitor pending purchase orders, expected delivery dates and material availability.
- Coordinate with vendors, warehouse and accounts teams for smooth purchase and receipt processes.
- Maintain vendor records, quotation comparisons and procurement trackers.
- Follow up on shortages, delays, quality issues and incorrect supplies.

Zoho Analytics and MIS Automation
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards using Zoho Analytics .
- Automate MIS reports to reduce repetitive manual work and improve reporting accuracy.
- Integrate data from Zoho Books, Zoho Inventory, Zoho Creator, POS systems and other business platforms.
- Develop automated dashboards for sales, stock, procurement, discounts and operational KPIs.
- Create custom formulas, pivot reports, charts, alerts and scheduled reports.
- Monitor data synchronisation and resolve mapping or reporting issues.
- Standardise data formats and validation checks across reporting processes.
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate manual data preparation and reconciliation activities.

Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with retail, warehouse, procurement, accounts, sales and operations teams.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely material availability.
- Follow up with concerned stakeholders for pending data, approvals and corrective actions.
- Assist teams in resolving stock, procurement and reporting-related issues.
- Ensure operational activities are completed according to defined processes and timelines.

Retail Training and Process Compliance
- Support the training of retail-store employees on inventory and operational processes.
- Train staff on stock receipt, stock transfer, inventory adjustment and audit procedures.
- Help retail teams understand reporting requirements and data-entry standards.
- Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Identify process gaps and recommend corrective actions.




- Prepare basic process documents, reporting formats and training materials.
- Support stores in improving operational efficiency and stock accuracy.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related field.
- Relevant experience in business analysis, MIS reporting, inventory management or procurement.
- Practical experience with Zoho Analytics is mandatory .
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Good understanding of sales, stock, purchasing and retail operations.
- Experience in data reconciliation, reporting and variance analysis.
- Ability to manage large datasets with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
