Business Analyst – Reference Data Management
Experience: 4 to 7 years
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana

Company Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to drive Reference Data Management initiatives across enterprise systems. You will bridge business, IT, and data governance teams to ensure high-quality, consistent, and well-governed reference data that supports trading, risk, finance, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Analysis:
Gather, document, and validate business requirements for reference data onboarding, maintenance, and distribution across asset classes – securities, counterparties, accounts, calendars, etc.
Data Lifecycle Management:
Define and manage end-to-end reference data workflows including sourcing, validation, enrichment, golden record creation, and publishing to downstream systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with Trading, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and IT teams to understand data needs, resolve conflicts, and drive adoption of RDM standards.
Data Quality & Governance:
Define data quality rules, KPIs, and SLAs.
Perform root-cause analysis on data issues and coordinate remediation with data owners/stewards.
Process Improvement:
Identify gaps in current RDM processes and propose automation, controls, and operating model enhancements. Support UAT, training, and rollout.
Documentation:
Maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, lineage docs, and SOPs for reference data domains. Ensure alignment with BCBS 239, FRTB, and other regulatory frameworks as applicable.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
4-7 years as a Business Analyst, with 2 years in Reference Data, Master Data, or Data Governance within Banking, Capital Markets, or Insurance.
Domain Knowledge:
Strong understanding of financial reference data – instruments, issuers, counterparties, LEI, ISIN, CUSIP, MIC codes, and corporate actions impact.
Technical Skills:
SQL for data analysis.
Experience with RDM/MDM tools like Informatica MDM, or similar.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to map data flows, perform gap analysis, and translate complex business rules into functional specs.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Ability to simplify technical concepts for business users and vice versa. Exposure to data governance frameworks (positive to have).
