Role Description

Provide leadership and guidance around Manufacturing feasibility from initial concept development through to factory launch, in the area of Body Structure Closures Joining Assembly process

Responsibilities

- Manage excellence in the BIW Assy team

- Deliver feasibility support to ensure design meets manufacturing processes from a part to vehicle level through the various stages

- Take responsibility to mentor, train and develop the AMEC team

- Awareness of market trends and developments in order to influence and manage the future development of the team





- Providing appropriate support and guidance to BIW and Closures teams

- Work with other departments and functions as required forming simulations

- Coordinate digital build for BIW assembly

- Identify coupon test requirements

Knowledge / Requirements

- Knowledge of mixed material structures Steel, Aluminium

- Knowledge of Body assembly method (RSW, SPRs, FDSs, CMT Welding, Mono-Bolts, Adhesives etc)

- Knowledge of assembly processes applicable to low and to high volume manufacture

- Knowledge of GDT

- Knowledge of Catia V5
