Role Description The Biodegradable Blown Film Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and adjusting blown film extrusion machines used to produce biodegradable packaging films. Day-to-day tasks include setting machine parameters, loading raw bioplastic materials, overseeing film thickness and quality, and performing routine inspections to ensure consistent production output. The role involves identifying and resolving minor mechanical issues, following safety procedures, documenting production data, and collaborating with quality control and maintenance teams.

This is a full time hybrid role based in Chikkamagaluru, where core machine operation and plant activities occur on site, with some administrative, reporting,



and planning tasks performed from home as agreed with the supervisor.

Qualifications

Operational skills: Ability to set up, operate, and monitor blown film extrusion machines, including adjusting temperature, speed, and pressure settings.

Technical skills: Basic mechanical aptitude, understanding of extrusion processes, and familiarity with biodegradable or polymer materials and film properties.

Quality and safety skills: Experience in quality checks for film thickness, strength, and consistency, and adherence to safety, housekeeping, and environmental standards.

Analytical and documentation skills: Basic math, record-keeping, and the ability to track production metrics, report deviations, and follow standard operating procedures.

Communication and teamwork skills: Ability to work effectively with production, maintenance, and quality teams, and clearly communicate issues and suggestions.

Preferred experience: Prior experience in blown film extrusion, plastics processing, or packaging manufacturing is highly beneficial.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certification in plastics, mechanical, or industrial operations is an advantage.
